[OSEN=선미경 기자] Group BIGBANG’s TAEYANG has begun his first solo tour in Japan.
TAEYANG successfully began his first solo tour concert “SOL JAPAN TOUR ‘RISE’ 2014” on the 12 and 13 at Japan Grand Cube Osaka, and his debut album in Japan has taken the 2nd place on Oricon chart, suggesting his success as a solo artist in the country.
For his Japan tour filled with “EYES, NOSE, LIPS”, the title track of his second full-length solo album, as well as other solo songs, TAEYANG directly took part in the production, giving his ideas on A to Z of the concert, including the video, lighting, and band.
TAEYANG’s outstanding vocal and powerful dance presented on the live stage left a strong impression on the audience, delivering the intense emotion and passion of TAEYANG like a rising sun, just as the title “RISE” of TAEYANG’s new album tells.
On the stage of the concert, TAEYANG said, “I have really wanted to hold a concert. I wanted to have a tour in which I can unite with you, at a small hall. Thank you”. Having such a time to unite with the audience who came to the Osaka concert, the first place for the tour, TAEYANG successfully finished the concert.
On the 13, the last day of TAEYANG’s Osaka concert, his Japan solo debut album “RISE [+ SOLAR & HOT]” was released, too. As many as 41,090 records of the album were sold, making it enter the 2nd place on Oricon’s album daily ranking. The album also took the No.1 on iTunes Pop-Album chart, marking a good start along with the success of the concert.
TAEYANG’s Japan solo debut album has all songs from his first Korean solo album “HOT”, first full-length album “SOLAR”, and latest solo album “RISE”.
Meanwhile, starting from Osaka, TAEYANG will move on to hold 13 concerts in six cities, to meet 70,000 fans.
