Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” has taken No. 1 on Melon’s weekly Chart for 5 weeks in a row … enjoying unending popularity

BIGBANG member TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” has taken the No.1 on music-streaming website Melon for five weeks in a row.

“EYES, NOSE, LIPS” that was released last month took the top rank on Melon’s weekly chart on the 14 this month.

“EYES, NOSE, LIPS” took the top place on the chart for the first time in the week from the 9 to 15 last month. Since then, the song has maintained its No.1 for five weeks in a row, despite a flood of new songs coming onto the chart. Plus, TAEYANG is enjoying a long-live popularity for the song, sweeping total eight No.1 trophies in music shows of four major broadcasters in Korea: Mnet, SBS, MBC, and KBS 2TV.

TAEYANG himself took part in writing the lyrics of “EYES, NOSE, LIPS”, which is an R&B song with a slow tempo that maximizes the merit of TAEYANG’s vocal. His outstanding talent as a solo vocalist, which has not been disclosed until recently, is another reason behind the long-run of the song. Such a long-lived popularity has given “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” a nickname “ZOM, NOSE, LIPS”, which compares the unending popularity of the song to the unending life of zombies.

Meanwhile, TAEYANG makes a solo debut in Japan in August and holds his solo tour concert “SOL JAPAN TOUR 2014” (working title).
