This post is devoted to an unexpected star of the Paris fashion festivities: a dark horse celebrity who's been rocking meticulously curated outfits that change with every show he attends. His name is Taeyang. He's big in Korea.
Taeyang is a Korean pop superstar best known for his spot in the boy band "Big Bang" and also, if his music videos are any indicator, for his ability to dance provocatively without ever breaking eye contact with the women he serenades. Sartorially, he's been absolutely committed at Paris Men's Fashion Week, showing up in head-to-toe designer looks street style kids would never touch, and word has it that crowds of fans have been following him wherever he goes.
From GQ associate fashion editor Matt Sebra: "You can tell what shows this guy's at based on the herd Parisian teens clutching their cell phones at each entrance. And his hurried exits are that of any obsessed-over pop-star: the aggro security detail, the shrieking pledges of love, and more than a few cameras in tow. I don't know this kid from a hole on the wall but even I think I'm a fan at this point"
