The "Kings of Kpop" are ALIVE

After a hiatus of 9 months Big Bang returned back to the music scene this February with their new mini-album “Alive”. 

“Alive” includes 7 songs from which 6 of them will be promoted on korean music shows. The album was produced nearly alone by leader G-Dragon and contains different music genres which appeal to a lot of listeners. The first title song “Blue” is a slow song supported by smooth electro-beats. It deals with a lost love and the emptiness after the break-up. Directly after the release “Blue” topped the music charts and achieved the perfect all-kill. Further won this song some medals on youtube including the one for the most clicks. The next song “Bad Boy” represents the Hip-Hop genre in “Alive”. The slow beats are underlined by a piano-jazz and in which the smooth voices of Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri give the song a certain serenity. Both clips of the songs named above were shooted in New York and earned record-clicks on Youtube. “Fantastic Baby” would bring everyone a good mood with its fast beats and powerful rhythm. “Love Dust” and “Ain’t No Fun” are Popsongs with smooth vocals but also electro-pop melodies.

Since their debut in 2006, Big Bang celebrate a lot of success. Songs like “Lies”, “Haru Haru”, “Last Farewell” and “Tonight” topped the charts immediately. Each one of their concerts was sold out in some minutes just like their albums. With their unique style Big Bang conquer not only Asia but also the rest of the world. High rankings on the Billboard charts and the winning of the “Worldwirde Act” Awards on the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2011 show that Big Bang’s popularity rises internationally. 

After some controversies in 2011 Big Bang returned stronger than anytime before. This year next to the album promotions, Big Bang will hold a Worldtour in 16 countries and 25 cities in Asia, America and Europe. Herefore, Big Bang collaborates with Live Nation who already created Micheal Jackson’s and Lady Gaga’s concerts. The “Alive Worldtour” started on March 2nd in Seoul and will continue on May 17th in Japan. There the boys will perform in 5 cities until June 24th. More details on the Tour will be released by YG Entertainment soon.
