Big Bang on NHK's Kōhaku Uta Gassen

According to the Japanese press, BIGBANG is expected to attend the 61st NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

Since Korean bands like Kara, BIGBANG and Girls Generation are very popular now in Japan, the possibility of them being invited to NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen is very high.

Sports Hochi has conducted a discussion with 14 reporters from the entertainment business about this issue and they came up with a conclusion that these famous Korean celebrities are very likely to be invited to join the prestigious event in Japan, the 61st NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen.

These celebrities continue to surprise the Japanese press with their huge popularity in Japan.

After BIGBANG and TVXQ, Girls Generation has now stepped their foot in Japan. "It is expected that local singers have to engage in fierce competition with singers and even non-singers in Korea," a representative elaborated.

BIGBANG officially debuted in Japan in June last year. Despite the fact that they've only debuted a year ago, they already claimed the ‘"Best Rookie of the Year" and during the MTV World Stage Video Music Awards Japan, they got the "Best Young Artist Video", "Best Pop Video Award" and "Best Collaboration Video Award’. Their acheivements are beyond expectation with 3 championships totally.

A Japanese music staff said, "This year, Korean stars are becoming more and more popular in our music industry. In order to prevent the dropping of the viewers of the NHK traditional music event, they want to invite these hot bands like Kara, Girl's Generation, BIGBANG and TVXQ although it will be a new try since no Korean singers have played a part in this before." (Note: TVXQ already attended Kōhaku Uta Gassen. Probably a slight mistrans^^)
