[스타뉴스 길혜성 기자] Taeyang of boy band Big Bang (G-Dragon, Top, Taeyang, Dae Sung, and Seungri) heralded his imminent comeback by disclosing the first image of the teaser for his new solo album.
Big Bang’s agency YG Entertainment (“YG”) released a black-and-white photo titled “TAEYANG-COMING SOON TEASER PIC #1”, on the company’s blog YG Life.
In the teaser, Taeyang in short hair in the side is wearing a shirt to hide his nose, bending his face. He is wearing a thick makeup on his closed eyes and smoke is rising around his face.
This is the first case where YG discloses a teaser photo of its artist’s new solo album to outside. With only one photo, Taeyang is showing an overwhelming charisma, making his fans more look forward to his new solo album.
YG marked no information about the new album or its release date on the photo, except for Taeyang’s name. However, considering that the first teaser image is released, Taeyang’s new solo album would be released soon.
YG had planned to release Taeyang’s new solo album in September this year. However, as Taeyang paid extra attention and care to the preparations for the new solo album, YG has also delayed the release schedule, focusing on the promotion plan for the new album instead. It is known that Taeyang has continuously been preparing for his new solo album for a long time, in cooperation with both Korean and foreign musicians.
With his first solo album “Solar” which was released in July 2010, Taeyang was recognized for his talent and popularity as a solo artist, making the title track “I Need a Girl”, an R&B dance music, a great hit song. Furthermore, Big Bang member Top, who is a singer-cum-actor, is expecting the release of “Commitment” a movie where he acted for the leading role, which is scheduled on November 6.
