YG Entertainment (YG) has plans to hold a concert in South America. A representative of YG stated, “Big Bang, who is releasing a new album in March of next year, has plans to launch a Big Show Tour,” adding, “Details about what countries and cities have not been decided, but we are currently pushing to increase the number of performances and expand into South America.”
YG’s CEO, producer Yang Hyun Suk explained, “South America is a region that is second to the US in its growing considerable influence.” It can be argued that the US is a market that is capable of transforming the geography of K-Pop’s audience.
