Naver reveals the Top 10 Songs of 2015 for each age group

South Korean portal site Naver has revealed the top 10 songs for each age group in 2015. The interactive chart lists the 10 songs most listened to this year for each age group, which is further subdivided by gender.
Youngest (10-19 years old):
10s-540x303
Unsurprisingly, the female side is dominated by idol groups, with EXO’s “Love Me Right” and “Call Me Baby” in the top two slots. Other groups on the list include GFRIEND, Red Velvet, and BTS. Meanwhile, the male “10s” list is more solo and hip-hop oriented, with tracks such as “Fire” by Mad Clown, “Fear” by Song Mino (from “Show Me the Money 4”), and a couple tracks from BIG BANG.

Young Adult (20-29 years old):
20s-540x303
First on the female side is “Leon” by IU and Park Myung Soo from “Infinite Challenge.” Except for another IU song, all other songs on the list are idol tracks from the likes of SISTAR, f(x), EXO, and BIG BANG. The male list for the same age group is again hip-hop oriented, with “Because of You” by M.C The Max in first place. Other artists on the list are Ja Mezz, Epik High, and Beenzino, with appearances from “Unpretty Rapstar” and “Show Me the Money 4” contenders.
Early Middle (30-39 years old):
30s-540x303
The female side shows a trend towards ballads, with Naul’s “You From the Same Time” at the top of the list. BIG BANG songs on the list are also ballads like “Let’s Not Fall in Love” and “If You.” Other artists include Jinusean, who made a comeback this year after a long hiatus and ballad queen Baek Ji Young. The male side of the list is similar in vibe, with many of the same artists and the same No. 1 song.
Late Middle (40-49 years old):
40s-540x303
By now the female side has almost no idol tracks with the exception of BIG BANG. Instead, solo singers such as Yoon Mi Rae, Jung Seung Hwan, and K.Will dominate the list. On the other hand, the male side of the list dips heavily into girl group territory, with several tracks from the likes of SISTAR, EXID, Girls’ Generation, and A Pink.
Older Adult (50-59 years old):
50s-540x303
The last age group on the list is heavy on the trot and tends to feature less recent songs, such as “Meeting” by Noh Sa Yeon, “Cheer Up” by Hong Jin Young, and Lee Sun Hee’s “Meet Him Among Them.” The female list also has a few Jang Yoon Jung songs and a surprising cameo from Orange Caramel’s Lizzy at No. 9 with her solo track “Not an Easy Girl.” The male list features many of the same songs in a slightly different order.
Note: Other than in the “Older Adult” category, BIG BANG was chosen in the top 10 of every age group’s music, showing their wide popularity and acceptance, among every age group and gender.
