Big Bang to Forgo Year-End Music Shows

YG Entertainment has announced that popular group BIG BANG won’t be attending any of the year-end music award shows in Korea, even after possibility of them attending the SBS Gayo Daejun arose.

According to the company, at this time the members are only focusing on their world tour and the completion of their “MADE” album.
From May to August of this year BIG BANG regularly released one to two single tracks each month, and dominated the music charts for four consecutive months. Recently, they have collected a variety of trophies from award shows such as the MelOn Music Awards and the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards. The claimed the daesang (grand prize) at both shows.
In addition, BIG BANG also took multiple spots on the 2015 list of YouTube’s most watched K-pop videos. “Bang Bang Bang” and “Loser” placed first and second respectively, and “Bae Bae” and “Let’s Not Fall in Love” both ranked within the top ten.
