BIGBANG, a five-member boy band, has made a successful comeback in and out of Korea. Naturally, their music videos are also gaining a lot of popularity.
At 12 AM(KST) of May 1, BIGBANG officially released ‘LOSER’ and ‘BAE BAE’ – tracks in their first project album ‘M’ – on Korean music sites as well as on iTunes. ‘M’ is the first album among the series of BIGBANG’s new albums dubbed ‘MADE’.
It’s the first time in three years that all the members of BIGBANG have come together. Their new singles ‘LOSER’ and ‘BAE BAE’ have topped Korea’s major music charts such as Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Genie, Bugs, Soribada, Monkey3, Naver Music, Daum Music, and Cyworld Music right after their release.
In the afternoon of May 1, ‘LOSER’ also became No.1 on the iTunes Top Singles Songs Chart in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Vietnam. BIGBANG’s album ‘M’ – which contains the singles mentioned above – topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in Romania. The fact that BIGBANG’s ‘LOSER’ and ‘M’ topped the singles and albums charts of not only Korea but also around the world on the first day of the album’s release shows that BIGBANG is indeed the most iconic boy band of Korea.
The music videos of BIG BANG’s new singles have also enthralled the fans.
As of 4 PM on May 1, when only 16 hours have passed since its official release, the music video of ‘LOSER’ posted 2,988,618 million views on BIGBANG’s official Youtube channel. The five members of BIG BANG play the roles of wandering youngsters in the music video of ‘LOSER’, a song with an addictive and sad melody line telling the story of boys who call themselves losers.
The music vido of ‘BAE BAE’ posted 2,436,670 views at the same hour. BIGBANG members play witty and satirical characters in the music video ‘BAE BAE.’ The song is about a boy who wishes the love with his girl to continue just like the way it is right now.
On the first day of their comeback, BIG BANG is creating a sensation both in terms of their singles and music videos.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG will release a new single album that contains at least one track every month until August 1. The compilation of these single albums – ‘MADE’ – will be released on September 1.
BIGBANG successfully held concerts on April 25 and 26, and they will go on a world tour performing in 15 countries in Asia and America. The world tour is consisted of 70 concerts and is expected to draw more than 1.4 million fans.
