Big Bang announces dates to annual "BIG SHOW"

Top Korean boy band Big Bang will hold their annual “BIG SHOW” in Korea in two months time, according to their agency YG Entertainment.

On Wednesday, an official with YG told 10Asia that the dates to the group’s “BIG SHOW” is scheduled for three days starting March 2 at the Gymnastics Stadium in the Olympic Park in Seoul.

The official also explained that they are currently in talks on the release date of Big Bang’s new album though nothing has been finalized as of yet.

The annual concert will mark the boys’ long-awaited comeback to the local music scene — the group had taken a step back from the spotlight after member Daesung got involved in a car accident in May last year and leader G-Dragon was caught for smoking marijuana.

Despite the break from their group activities however, they won the best worldwide act award at last year’s MTV Europe Music Awards and released their special best album “THE BEST OF BIGBANG” and DVD “Big Bang Presents ‘Love and Hope Tour 2011’” in Japan last month.

Big Bang, composed of other members Taeyang, T.O.P and Seungri, made their debut in 2006. They have a number of hit songs under their belt including “Lies,” “Haru Haru,” “Love Song” and “Tonight.”

They recently took part in the “15th Anniversary YG Family Concert,” also featuring labelmates 2NE1, Se7en, Gummy, PSY and Tablo, in Korea and in Japan.
