All five Big Bang members will appear on the KBS2TV music program ‘Music Bank.’
Big Bang is scheduled to appear on ‘Music Bank,’ airing LIVE this Friday on the 11th and perform their new title song ‘Tonight.’ This will be Big Bang’s first appearance on ‘Music Bank’ since releasing their new mini album back on February 24th. There was some bickering back and forth through the media between the two parties over arguments on the length of air time. Big Bang held their first broadcast stage on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 6th and will also perform on MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 12th.
YG Entertainment and Music Bank said the two parties met on the 8th and confirmed Big Bang’s appearance on ‘Music Bank.’ Big Bang, therefore, will be consecutively appearing on three major network music programs to promote ’Tonight.’
Fans are buzzing over Big Bang’s scheduled appearance on ‘Music Bank’ because ‘Music Bank’ and YG Entertainment’s previously strained relations where ‘Music Bank’ had canceled Big Bang’s appearance on the show on the 4th. In addition, disagreements over the 2010 KBS Gayo Festival had none of the YG artists appearing on KBS main music program ‘Music Bank.’ It can be interpreted that YG and ‘Music Bank’ have sorted out some of these issues.
Yet the two parties had blamed each other about Big Bang’s canceled appearance on the 4th. According to ’Music Bank,’ at that time, they had requested Big Bang to appear on the show but YG had declined. YG, on the other hand, said they had requested extra air time for Big Bang to sing more songs but ‘Music Bank’ turned it down. YG also denied any claims that they asked for a special treatment.
The situation, however, changed when Big Bang held their first music show appearance through SBS ‘Inkigayo.’ Big Bang will now focus only on promoting one song, ‘Tonight.’ So Big Bang will also only perform ‘Tonight’ on ‘Music Core.’
Big Bang also has a high chance of ranking no. 1 on ‘Music Bank’ on the 11th because YG contributed a lot to have Big Bang appear on Music Bank. Big Bang won ‘Music Bank’ K-chart no.1 even when they didn’t appear last week on the 4th.
